New Print on Demand Products: Sparrow Maps
MapSherpa is pleased to announce a selection of maps from Mary Spence at Sparrow Maps.
Mary is one of the UK’s leading cartographers and enjoys an international reputation for mapmaking excellence. She was awarded an MBE for Services to Cartographic Design in 2004.
A Chartered Geographer and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, she is also both a Past President and Honorary Fellow of the British Cartographic Society.
After a career in cartographic publishing spanning over 50 years, Mary embarked on developing and designing her own maps from scratch creating concept maps such as ’The Dynamic World’ and ’The Environmental World’ both of which won her awards from the British Cartographic Society, including the Stanfords Award for printed maps. More recently her ‘World Great Discoveries’ won 2nd place in the ‘Maps on Panels’ class of the ICA International Cartographic Exhibition in 2023.
Her maps range from a number of illustrated world maps for children to detailed physical maps of US states and a wide variety of other country maps. Her latest theme for new product is the ‘vintage or vibrant’ variants of the same map - offering a choice of style and appearance for different decors but with the same detailed content.
The 43 new products include:
regional maps of the United States
a map of the island of Ireland
national maps of Israel, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine
thematic world maps with countries and capitals, fascinating facts, global statistics, great discoveries and natural phenomena that shape the world
the World, the United States and the United Kingdom in her new vintage and vibrant map styles
These maps are available for Print On Demand from our retail partners.
