Map of Mount Logan – Topo Map of the Week

Today we’re starting a new feature in the MapSherpa blog – a weekly topographic map of a selected geography in Canada. This will include maps of highly unique geographies, maps of relevance to current events or news items, or maps of special places in Canada.

Where better to select for our inaugural Topo Map of the Week then Canada’s largest mountain – Mount Logan, measuring in at 5,959 metres (19,551 ft) above sea level. Mount Logan is located in Kluane National Park and Reserve in south western Yukon Territory.

The mountain was named after Sir William Edmond Logan, founder of the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC).

With the recent addition of custom poster size maps to MapSherpa – we thought we would take this opportunity to offer this Map of Mount Logan in large format. Note: Download size is close to 30 megs.
