Key Window Navigation – MapSherpa Tip of the Week

You have probably noticed the key window in the lower right corner of the map window.
Its purpose is to give you a sense of context for the map you are creating. To do that a light red box representing your map window is superimposed on a small map showing a broader area. You can also use the red box to reposition your map window based by dragging it within the key window. To do this, move your cursor over the red box, hold the left mouse button down and drag in which ever direction you wish. When you let go of the mouse button, your map window will be redrawn to reflect the new position of the red box.
