The ‘Bugaboos’ conjure up images of heli-skiing and hiking and rugged back country climbing. They are a range of mountains within the Purcell Mountains in southeast British Columbia. The Bugaboos are a spectacular mixture of ice and granite. Their numerous mountain spires and glacier terrain provide a wealth of awe inspiring views and have attracted visitors from around the world.
Topography of the Bugaboos
The rugged terrain and region’s limited access call for dedication and a level of skill beyond the level of casual day hiker. But for those willing to prepare and make the effort, the Bugaboos provide the ultimate climbing, hiking and skiing experiences.
