Need a Wall Map? Go Poster Size!

MapSherpa doesn’t limit you to page size maps.  With MapSherpa you can create poster sized maps for your trip or – for your wall.

Poster maps can be created at a size of 24″ x 36″ and can be printed on straight paper or a plasticized media that will hold up better to the elements.

The same data, tools and functionality available to you if you chose to produce a pdf map that you print yourself are accessible when you select one of the poster templates.

A sample poster size map of Mount Logan is available to give you an idea of what a full size poster map looks like. Note this is a large download of just under 30 megabytes.

Tips for Creating a Poster Sized Map

Here are a few useful tips for getting your desired wall map from MapSherpa:

• Select one of the two 24 x 36 templates (paper or plasticized material) from the ‘Map Options’ in the upper left corner of the Map Making application
• The map area you see on screen will be the exact geographic area you will see in your final map output.
• Take a close look at your user content in preview to ensure it’s positioned and presented in the way you want – you might want to tweak this in the application to get the exact presentation you are interested in for your final output

Once you are done, send your creation to your cart, process your order and our printing partner – World of Maps – will begin the process of printing your map.  Typically we will complete this within a couple days and ship it to you.

Maps are shipped in poster tubes via Canada Post Expedited service. You will be notified when the product ships and will be provided with a Canada Post tracking number.
