Custom Digital Maps

We believe you should be able to produce a high quality map that looks good both on the screen and in paper form.  After all, you usually don’t have your computer at your fingertips when you are out and about.  At the most basic level, you have a choice between printing your own map at a page size or ordering a larger poster size from us.

With MapSherpa you have access to the best quality map data available for Canada.  We have integrated Canadian topographic data with the best road network data available to provide you with several options for choosing a map base layer.  Our base map data is updated frequently to ensure the most current and accurate data is available to you.

Our map designers (cartographers in technical lingo) are also committed to ensuring our data is attractive and easy to interpret.  We think you will agree that we outshine the competition in this area – particularly if you want to take away a print version of your map.

And of course, we are committed to easy customization, allowing you to select your area of interest, annotate the map with various symbols and labels,  and define output styles.  Currently we have a couple template styles that allow you to create maps at 8 1/2 x 11″ – one with a legend and one without.  Some people have asked for larger format capability (11 x 17″) which we will be offering soon.

When you are done designing your map and are ready to check out, we produce a high quality pdf document with specifications suited to producing a map on your printer.  Maps are produced at 300 dpi to ensure high quality when it comes time to print.
